–Vince McMahon recaps Sid’s cowardly behavior that dates back to a sneak attack on Shawn Michaels the night after WrestleMania XI. Sid says that he will tell the audience later tonight why he does not fear a lumberjack match against Diesel at In Your House 2.
–McMahon and Jerry Lawler are tonight’s commentary team and they are still taped from Danville, Pennsylvania.
–Opening Contest: The Roadie (w/Jeff Jarrett) (2-1) defeats Jerry Flynn after a powerbomb at 2:37:
Flynn manages to trap the Roadie with a few armdrags and takedowns in the early going, but the Roadie avoids an enziguri and works a half Boston crab and then blocks Flynn’s hurricanrana attempt with a powerbomb. After the bout, McMahon brings up how there is tension between Jarrett and the Roadie, with Jarrett wanting to take all of the credit for the Roadie’s recent successes.
–Old segments of Jarrett trying to get into the country music business are shown as a lead-in to another showing of the “With My Baby Tonight” music video.
–The Allied Powers pledge to defeat Tatanka and Henry Godwinn later tonight.

–Savio Vega (9-1) beats Mike Khoury after a side roll at 1:52:
McMahon excitedly puts over Savio, getting very loud when explaining the impact of Savio’s strikes. Savio finishes with a side roll, desperately needing a better finisher.
–McMahon puts over the WWF’s participation in the Summer Olympics.
–McMahon interviews Ted DiBiase and Sid, with DiBiase saying that Sid is not afraid of Diesel and introducing Sid’s lumberjacks, which are most of the heels on the roster and contain no surprises despite what the WWF Hotline hyped. They include Kama, Mabel, Mantaur, the Blu Brothers, Jean-Pierre LaFitte, Tatanka, Henry Godwinn, Rad Radford, Hunter-Hearst Helmsley, Irwin R. Schyster, Jimmy del Ray, and Skip. Sid screams about how he rules the world.
–Lawler recaps Barry Horowitz’s upset of Skip on The Action Zone.
–Hunter-Hearst Helmsley (8-0) pins Matt Hardy after the Pedigree at 3:10:
McMahon puts over how Matt is aiming for a Horowitz-like upset and Matt tries to take a page out of the 1-2-3 Kid’s 1993 playbook by trying a moonsault. However, Helmsley avoids it and squashes Matt with the Pedigree. Matt’s time to get over as a star would have to wait for another four years but he did have a more notable WWF career than Horowitz.
–Todd Pettengill provides the In Your House 2 Report. Pettengill spends a lot of time hyping the Razor Ramon & Savio Vega vs. Men on a Mission and Henry Godwinn vs. Bam Bam Bigelow matches.

–The Allied Powers (13-0) beat Tatanka & Henry Godwinn (w/Ted DiBiase) after the British Bulldog pins Tatanka after a running powerslam at 5:50 shown:
Godwinn in substituting for King Kong Bundy, who was out of action from walking pneumonia. Although a revival of the Tatanka-Lex Luger feud inside of this match is awful, Godwinn works like a man possessed, trying to capitalize on the most of his opportunity to finally be part of a meaningful angle after doing very little for the first half of the year. During the match, McMahon begins ranting about the “undisciplined genre of other forms of professional wrestling” to put over the WWF’s programming standards and presumably attack ECW. The heels dominate much of the action until after the hot tag, where Tatanka eventually falls victim to a running powerslam. The match was really, really quick in its pacing and it is unclear why Godwinn stood on the outside and allowed his partner to get pinned without attempting any interference. Rating: *¾
–McMahon reminds the audience that the American Dental Association does not approve of the dental practices of Isaac Yankem, D.D.S. A new vignette shows Yankem drilling the teeth of a patient as Lawler talks about how Yankem will take care of Bret Hart and eventually rise to the top of the WWF. When the patient tells Yankem that she is a Bret Hart fan, Yankem drills aggressively.
–Tune in next week to see Shawn Michaels square off against Irwin R. Schyster! Also, Owen Hart & Yokozuna and Jean-Pierre LaFitte will be in action and WWF Champion Diesel will give a special interview!
The Last Word: This RAW spent a lot of time doing the hard sell for In Your House 2 as that show will take place in less than two weeks. Positioning Sid as a coward did very little to make people want to buy the show except for a few Shawn Michaels fans that may have wanted Diesel to extract some revenge by proxy. The Roadie is getting a big push post-King of the Ring, though, with the commentary team setting him up for a face turn and McMahon, on the basis of his commentary, seems to have high hopes for Savio Vega.
